Konami, did actually release games based on the M2 Hardware. How close that was to what would have been in the home console version, I simply don’t know. However, you can experience these arcade games using MAME. Looking at the visuals, the M2 would have been an interesting system…

So these images appeared on the Japanese 3DO Magazine’s Disk 9 At a show in Osaka, Japan, between 17th and 21st October '95 there was a showcase of 3DO M2 technology.
Back in the day, I got a lot of my 3DO gossip, tips, tricks and information on a usenet group. Notably rec.games.video.3do. And any teeny morsel of information was ravaged by the 3DO faithful. M2, so we were told, and there were pictures to back this up, was an add-on for the existing 3DO. The bickering was intense on this subject both for and against. Those for the idea said that another £200 for an add-on, with backwards comparability and enough power to upset a Playstation was a good thing. Those on the side pointed at Sega’s 32X and shook their heads. Eventually the add-on faded and a fully fledged console started to emerge. What we got to see in the likes of Edge Magazine, was a console that looked like the machine I own. The FZ-21. There was a couple of flavours, a white one and the one here. We were expecting it to be released right up until the day it wasn’t. And it was heart breaking.
D2 by Warp was the game most anticipated, that IMSAI racing. Various video’s were released
